hey you monsters
everytime I login to VI I can see the new posts as indicated by orange icons.
I go to those posts and read like Curious George.
Then, if I post a responce to even just one,
all the new posts that I just read become "new" again as indicated by the orange icons.
But I did just read them all.
Does this happen to anyone else?

It's not a major gripe, I just get easily confused.

it just happened again, because of that post...
(and again because of this one, I'm sure)

all the machines are ganging up on me! again!

"Beep beep beep, oh no heavy, the coins keep coming out, beep beep beep, even the telephone hates me, beep beep beep,
I wish there were no machines, and everyone led a pastoral existence,
trees and flowers don't deliberately cool you out and go beep in your ear."

Yep, that happens to me as well.

me too... what's with this junky site?!?!

I've been thinking about upgrading the forum software to phpbb2... it will inevitably look different and likely take a bit of getting used to, but should alleviate a couple annoyances...

anyone against this idea?

I like the format now becsaue it's so easy to use. I think you should do what you think is best for the site though.

I trust that you know what would best make things run correctly.
As long as there is enough server space to keep things runnning, I'm sure you will make the best techy decisions. Do you have a website that details this software before the upgrade?
Perhaps a beta test?

yes, please keep things the way they are,
as I find this board to be easy to navigate.

I can handle the new post quirks.
No one has ever mentioned this before so I thought it might just be me.

I also would like to say that I still really like the two photos used here,
the splash screen and the group shot above all the pages.

Yeah, I don't find it a problem, and I like the current layout here, so don't go changing anything on my account.

yeah, there'd definitely be a bit of a learning curve to the new software... it's just a bit more complicated, etc. I'm personally a fan of this version of phpbb despite the weirdness mentioned by Dave.
