I got my green repro Walder about a month ago, give or take.
When I recent looked in the lil' "kaijin collection" book
that came in the box I noticed this:

I apologize for the crap quality as I don't have a scanner. Embarassed

I'm a little noobish to this info but I did hear that
there were 4 Walder IIs in planning but only the two;
Magma and General; were released back in '99. I don't
know whether this picture is indicative of that or
if there's actually a gunmetal cyborg99 looking one
and a cool blue aqua-dude floating around somewhere.
I've never seen these in until now, but can anyone confirm?

What I am sure of is that KW2 replacement heads were issued including
the pointy eared Evil Walder head. Anybody wouldn't happen to know where to get these btw?

Info thanks to My Kool_ToyZ & Microforever

Can anyone post a picture or point to a link of a close up of the King Walder II "Shadow" head? It almost looks to me like it had two faces stacked together.

Thanks DK. I had checked to see if something similar had been posted, but came up with nothing. Again, its a shame these weren't produced , I just know that when (not if) I spot one on YJA,I won't be taking any prisoners. Cool

I made the worst move when I was in Japan years ago. I stood front of a big rack of spare heads and didn't buy a single one hahaha

I go pretty insane over replacement heads myself.

Here are the pix of SHadow that I could find.

Perhaps some other people have a few pix of shadow cluttering the hard drive?

Holy $%#@ Guy, that army of Cyborgs and Walders is AWESOME!

How did you create the Neo Henshin with the green metallic innards? Did you re-chrome the parts or spray them with metallic paint? I WANT TO MAKE ONE LIKE THAT RIGHT NOW! How did you do it? Or did you obtain it that way already?

You have inspired me.

In answer to your original question, 3ars, according to the Microforever site, there were only two standard colours of 99, gunmetal and blue. I've heard Guy mention a silver one, but maybe he meant the gunmetal. Microforever states that silver and gold colours were scheduled for release but cancelled. A green 99 was released as part of the "Vs." set and Satake 99 is silver with a new head sculpt.

Yahoo Japan is your best bet. The Evil head is very sought and hard to find, and it can fetch big money for just a head.

Not on my hard drive, Guy, but way back before I got a computer, I got colour photocopies done of a friend's Hyper Hobby magazine with some nice pics. I would have to re-scan them to post them here. Life is busy but I'll look into it as they should be shared.

this is probably the greatest 'could have been awesome' topic with cyborgs for me.

r0b0t_3ars, thanks for twisting the knife in that old wound! Wink

Thanks to Emma the secretary, who will never read this, I got these pages scanned from an old Hyper Hobby dating way back to when the 99s and KWIIs were in the pipeline. These are all the pages about them.

Now this thread has all the pics of Shadow I have ever seen.

The jpeg scans she did are great quality, bigger than they look posted here. You can zoom right in. Anybody wants them emailed, PM me with an address.

Twists the knife a little more, doesn't it, Bryan?

Indeed, much thanks for that hypno. Also, what I meant by gunmetal 99 was that from the crappy pics that i uploade and the minibook, shadow resembled a gunmetal 99 if you were squinting ,as I was .haha. Now it is apparent that he is way more than that.
