These are Myclone arms on an M101 George from the Microman Founders set.

M101 George is "in flesh tone color to represent Takara Combat Joe"

Great pix! Nice to see the Founders set again; it's one of my faves. Did you have to remove rivets to do this?

Thanks! The Microman Founders set is great.
Yes, I did remove the rivets.
In fact, after much debate, I used a small wire-cutter to cut the rivet and the elbow to remove the arm.
I was able to remove the lower arm without damaging the upper arm and elbow hole,
but the lower arm is now damaged at the elbow.
I wanted to get this little project done and the idea of drilling out these tiny rivets in my hot apartment,
well, it just wasn't going to happen.
Plus, the last time I tried drilling out a rivet, I wasn't patient enough and the whole joint melted
and everything I was trying to save got ruined anyway.
This figure was a spare that was missing the hands and I determined it might be easier to get another figure
than to replace the Myclone arms, should I find the need to, so that's why I didn't just make 'gloves' out of the Myclone parts.
My only regret is that the Myclone arms look just a hair too short.

This little project is really in answer to Guy's amazing customs.
Of course, there is a lot more work going into Guy's creations,
still I wanted to show my attempts to making "cyborg inspired" micros.

Thanks for the kudos.
OMG Dave, This is Genius!!! This is wot forums are for!

I am so skint after building all the 12" figures.
THe postage alone is killing me. This is just so refreshing.
I didn't have to destroy anything expensive trying to come up with a new ideas. Dave, You have taken me in a totally new direction.

Actually you can do this in a safer manner for the micromen,
my method is however a bit more (potentially) damaging to the fingers than the microman. (But Flesh eventually grows back, right?)
My fingertips are a bit singed as I type this, but you totally rock Dave!

Nice work boys. I expect the kitbashers at Wonderfest will be jealous of the Micro Mazinga. I hadn't seen the Micro Elquebird this close before. I love the swirly head details.
