Yeah I'm already on it. I aim to please.
Laughing
I would seriously hate to find the perfect horse in crystaline plastic and then muck it all up. The "Girl toy" market has always been a tad more expensive then "action figures" Almost all the loose (even NON ARTICULATED) horses I am seeing online cost as much, or MORE than a MIB NHC cyborg. I have no clue what they are even made of.
Finding just the right parts is essential and I'm hoping what I have orderd is even in scale.
Otherwise, Guy may be having a "HORSE SALE" on ebay to try and recoup my losses. Embarassed

Busy putting together non horsey cybos & adding bits.
I'll post pix this weekend.

At the risk of looking really shit in comparison to what else is on view here...
Well here's my attempt at a poor man's Android, as I can't afford the real thing! I'm on a budget here, so it's the BBI figure body, with various bits of Lego Bionicle blended to the figures original head with Milliput.
I painted the head with a little rust and weathering because the plastic looked a little plasticy

Great stuff! Love seeing those robo ninja bodies seeing some action as well! they were meant to be played with! I really love the look of the helmet.

Which Bionacle did you use? I really like crazy body armor.

Hello again. Sorry for a bit of a delay. I have many projects going, but I like to show them when they are actually completed. I woul dprefer to whip these things out every weekend, but sometimes I am waiting on colors or parts.

as always, the critters tend to lend a hand when I am working on this stuff.

Here is one Micro cyborg for now.

I have loads of my own cybo warriors ready to upload, but as some of these new micro projects are a bit more colorful & specific, they require parts that I don't have on hand in my basement.
I have to go parts searching to try and find something close, or build accessories bit by bit.
Hang tight. Not trying to come off as lazy.
I am hard at work on many new projects.
Just waiting on parts to arrive via the post...

Did you customize your pet? Looks like it has a haircut with style. Very Happy
The custom is looking good! Nice deep red color there. I haven't tried red yet. Glass paint or Dye? Like the white wrist bands what did you use?

I am using a blending of methods. I also custom mix the colors.
I have dyed materials for years, but it is not the answer for everything.
Moderation and trial & error are key.
It takes years to know what will work and what won't. Warm colors can be used for dyeing. But dye is a wildcard affected by not only temperature but by density of material. Some dyes will not work at all. Softer materials take in color FAST, but can also have problems retaining the color.
Remember how some of the late 70's plastic would not retain it's black dye?
(mego cheron, mugato belt, ideal's knight of darkness)
Both dye and paint can destroy your collection if not done properly or if the toys are not stored properly. Like how you never store an oily jiggler collection in the same box as your loose aurora model kits.
The re-mego companies started out with A LOT of body & parts dyeing and that sort of material is EXTREMELY soft. The dye can really mess up all your other toys. When I buy boots and find they were white vinyl dyed black, I just cringe. It is safer to LIGHTLY tweak a color.

Crystaline plastic is hard and much less like a sponge so it won't let the dye out over time like say dyeing a mego head. However there are many variables. Even with the same material, if one part is 'stiffer' than the other you can run into problems. I have dyed hands and had one turn black and the other barely accept the dye.
Not to mention warping & shrinkage.
Shocked
You have seconds to make it work. (Kronos does not yet have wings because his test wing shriveled like a piece of overcoked bacon!)
Likewise clear paint can be like syrup, not always adhere correctly and finding a variety of colors difficult.

I am on the lookout for more blue & green shades of paint but usually most companies do not issue vast color palates in transparent paint.
Which is why dyes can be so tempting.

By blending, you have a much wider variety of colors.

Thanks for info Guy. I once took a vinyl head and painted it silver and it took a year before it dried. The colors are looking great!

The blues, red and yellows are coming along nicely. Can't wait to see more!

I wish I could make some of these. I can't wait to see a group shot later. Antron is my favorite so far but they are all fantastic.

Thanks everyone! Ol "Horse face" is still waiting on 4 parts.
THen comes assembly, paint, etc. He's almost there though and I'm trying to incorporate as much Transparent gear as I can.

As far as Items to post I have one of my cyborg Shok troopers

Okay, i have been working on my alien projects.

Kronos is now double jointed:

and he has wings

and then there's this fella...

I tried to incorporate as many translucent parts as the figure would allow.
Many thanks to Hypno for helping me with some UK toy dealers this weekend. I wanted to at least give you something interesting to look at.
Micronaut Centaurus may not be your personal fave, but I wanted to try and win you over with this 12" version.

Centaurus is certainly one of my personal favorites (and the only figure Palisades did where every color variant were my own originals). I like that you incorporated the mask and saddle accessories--while I wasn't wholly satisfied with how the Palisades mask turned out (not totally accurate to my design), I like your take on it much better. I'd be curious what parts you are using to make each of these guys (especially Centy and Antron).

In any case, these turned out incredible as expected. Very Happy
