Yes I have to admit that Centaurus is pretty damn amazing. I particularly like his snout. Iím not familiar with the Micronauts original; does he have a face like that? Fixing the Neo body to the horse must have been some feat of engineering.
Kronos is still my favourite, though. I see he has some wings now. I dig the head so much. Are you prepared to reveal where you got it?

Hypno, as ironic as this sounds, you may be closest to my source material. Especially seeing as the actionman collection is about to show up on your door step.

I have been using ActionMan and GI Joe bits. THey used transparent tubing and back packs and had somewhat spacey accessories which add to the sci-fi feel of the 12" micronauts. The mantis head is actually ( like your heads) directly from secret base. They were so obsessed with making tributes to Cyborg & micronauts, the mantis head sculpt appears to have been done by the same people - hense it fits right in.

SADLY Secret Base was not so obsessed with My little Pony, or Crocodile hunter, so some heads I have to look elsewhere for.
The key is to match the colors on the body & the head. Once you've done that, you're golden. Wish I could crank them out sooner, but a lot of R&D has to go into this. For a long time It was feeling like that famous scene from the godfather.

I tried to incorporate as many translucent parts as the figure would allow.
Many thanks to Hypno for helping me with some UK toy dealers this weekend. I wanted to at least give you something interesting to look at.
Micronaut Centaurus may not be your personal fave, but I wanted to try and win you over with this 12" version.

Ah, He-Man Buzz-Off wings! Excellent choice!

I suppose you could also use the Micronaut's Hornetroid's wings, but they might be too big or too expensive to find.

Excellent stuff Guy, love what you've done with Centaurus and the colours on Kronos are great.

How is the torso fixed to the horse, I assume you've only got a bit of thin plastic moulding to work with on the horse?

Holy moleee..!!! Amazing effort, genuinely amazing. Owning the micronaut originals, I was holding back on posting until seeing the completed Centaurus. Love the Kronos too - great vibrants colours! These models are serious proof of the skill that some of the guys on innards have in taking the great and using it to make something better. It never ceases to impress me. Makes me want to have a go..

No micronauts at the moment, but I have some customs to post.

look into my eye... My Hypnotic cobra hand is controlling you...

I suppose that this seems rather subtle for me, but gives you an idea of how the 1999 cyborg body fits underneath the satan king vinyl chestpiece used as a suit.

I have always loved the inner headsculpt that lurks UNDERNEATH the Beeman costume.
Most people just leave them on the shelf, or put it under the bee head mask. I always thought it deserved some method of display.

YES YES YES!!! I knew we were in for a treat as soon as I saw the tops of Herbies ears!!! I was literally JUST wondering how the SATAN KING would look with the paint removed (after staring into it for 2 hours trying not to lacerate myself...) - SUPERB. (great photography as ever)
I personally prefer the INNER BEE MAN head, the outer always looks too big and cartoonish to me.
GREAT STUFF!
Inspires me to try to do MORE myself.
Thanks for putting these up!!! Smile

I love the clear yellow! Your cats are difficult to impress, though.

Is that the INNER bee head? How big is the outer? I've got a transparent bee head coming. Will it have an inner?

The outer head is based on the BEETLEMAN head.
THe inner head is big, but fits snugly underneath to add extre detailing to the clear head. You kinda need both to get the full effect with the brain peeking through the back and the added depth to the eyes...

Yet more excellent work Guy

I too prefer the inner bee man head to the outer. I always thought the original Beetleman head was a bit big and clumsy, explains why the bee man head is a bit big and clumsy

The inner bee heads always reminded me of The Ghouls in Ray Harry Hausen's Sinbad & the Eye of the Tiger...
