The most elaborate figures in the Action stars range are the Apache Chief and the Sioux Indian, they have different skin tone, more detailed faces, molded marks on their cheeks which signify war paint, trousers have tassle molding and their torsos as well, oh and they have moccassins on and long hair/head pieces...

I had an inkling DR WAR would have the same face, in fact the bald heads remind me of Tiny Tuffy's which we discussed yonks back in the M.A.C./ACTION JACK topic....

Incidentally, my Eagles Medic came and I'm dead pleased with him, shame theres nowt to attach the blanket onto so he could store it as hes on his jaunts.

I liked the Beserkers in the cartoon, but the toys were indeed a bit wank. I can't remember the back-story to the Thundercats, despite having a subscription to the comic for ages. All I remember is that irritating moron Safari Joe.

I can't believe Dr. War's face is normal! anyone who wears a sinister helmet and has a name like that has to be disfigured in some way, it's just the way things are. Did they actually release him with the working missile gimmick? I thought that would have been the first thing to go before production.

Dr War update; I have it on good authority that his helmet does come off, and he's got a regular human face underneath.

More pics once I have him in my possession, now does anyone have his missiles or backpack?

Resurrecting this thread Cool

Gort old boy, do you have pics of DR WAR? Very Happy

Bought myself an Action Stars Wasserschutz - Polizei, thats River Police to you. Looks cool. Much nicer than the bog standard Polizei figure they did. I have the Riot Police one and the new one has a nice blue uniform and white cap. Very Happy

Sorry for the long wait, I've had a lot on lately and I totally forgot.

I'll get some Dr War pics up later this week, camera won't communicate with my ancient pc so I'll do it next time I'm on the laptop.

Nice one Gort. Does he have the same face and hair as all the Eagles / Airfix Action Stars do?

The head is the same mold as the indian (or Native American if we're feeling all pc today). I guess it may be supposed to look like scars or something (?)

Anyway, without further ado; Dr War

I have no idea; they do seem pretty scarce though. I've only ever seen two; mine showed up in a job lot (via a very good collector friend) and the other one was on French ebay several years ago but at the time I thought it was a custom.

I forgot to mention above but the firing fists / missiles obviously didn't make it into production.
