Hi all,

Not sure if Walder would approve but...

Does anyone know how much the 1/18 scale ERTL Ecto 1 is worth?

My girlfriend put one on Ebay this week, and I've never seen anything generate so much interest. Someone emailed her to say it was worth around 100

Struggling to find a reliable price guide online, so any help, even wild speculation, would be greatly appreciated.

HAH!!! Thank you!!
Yea, although it passed by my radar I believe it was a very short production run.
The ERTL 1/18 range started out as a phenomenal success, but then a rejigging of the company separated it into smaller subsidy companies
that were sort of "free lance" companies acting independent under ERTL's umbrella.
LONG story short, "Joyride" went belly up, ERTL ceased production to cut losses, then in the midst of a buyout by Racing Champions they dropped EVERYTHING that wasn't profitable.
Sad really as they'd acquired some neat licenses too.

Ta Baz, that would explain the interest. It's a really nice repro of the car, the slimer that comes with is is incredibly poor though.

I've seen some got for $120.00.
Wish I'd bought a few when I worked at a Comic Store.

She got 65 quid for it, not bad considering it's without a box, and she was going to chuck the car in the charity bag. Stopped someone picking up a real bargain, I'm sure this is why you never find androids or walders in charity shops.
