The Four Horsemen just announced they will be doing updates of the Outer Space Men, incorporating Onell Design's Gylos joint system:

Here's a pic of some of the original figures from the huge auction Monolith posted in the OT section.

Wow! I have all the original Outer space men except Commander Comet(he's the gold guy with white wings pictured above). I've had them since I was a kid.

Those photos of the new figures look pretty cool. They kept the general look of the original characters but updated them a bit.I like the fact that they're making some of the second series characters that were originally never produced.

I'll have to get those.

Thanks for posting!

Weren't the originals made to tie-in with Mattels Major Matt Mason line? They have the same sort of bendy aesthetic....?

Yes?

No>>>>?

BUELLER? BUELLER.....?

Hi all!

Yes, the originals were done in the same style as Matt Mason figures. They were a great companion line, filling in a void Mattel left wide open (As cool as Calisto and Capt. Lazer were, Matt needed more aliens to encounter!).

I'm not all that excited about these new figures. 3 3/4" sized Outer Space Men? If I liked the little G.I. Joe figures, maybe I'd care for these, but I don't. I want a reproduction of the original line in their original size to go with my Matt Mason figures!

James

The interchangeability with Glyos looks, well, out of this world!

These sold out immediately apparently. I was lucky enough to have a good friend who gave up the 2nd set he got:

I'm glad you found a set. All this did was P!$$ me @FF I don't really care for the regular figures at all. These were almost acceptable. I don't play sold out games too much market manimulation possible. It just says stay away to me.

I'm not after the painted ones either, but I really like the clear-ish versions. I think most show exclusives are always generally bound to sell out but I think with the smaller companies sometimes it's meant as a bonus to the fans (these were released for sale on their website for members first before the stock for comicon was sold) and sometimes producing something in a limit that is sure to sell out is the only viable way to get these variations. I don't think the same holds true for bigger companies though and I agree with you there for sure.

I quite like the look of the regular painted ones. Are they easy to get? The translucent ones are okay but they could have been full on transparent. Also I had no idea they were star Wars size. I should have guessed from the severely limited, goose stepping articulation. I wouldn’t mind a regular Nautilus though.

Yeah I also wish they were totally clear but they still slide in very nicely amongst the Micronaut Aliens. I think the painted ones will be the standard release and they shouldn't be too hard to get. I'm not sure when they come out yet though. The parts swapping element to these is fun too:
