do not buy vintage items from "oldwell45"

They are all listed as "new vintage" or "old dead stock" but are actually repainted, restored, and have repro parts.

He sells Kenner 18" Alien figures on ebay a few times every year.

The auctions will catch your eye because the starting price and s/h are pretty reasonable on this piece.

so I saw this auction
ebay auction # 150407333599

description:
"This one has all it's parts like the dome which is always missing since it just sits on the doll head, back removable spike and teeth that protrude in and out of the head by depressing lever on the back of the head. Molded totally in a black finish with a florescent white glow on the dark head. The arms and legs are fully articulated and tight to move in positions. So often these are floppy in the breeze figures. Hard to find this figure complete like this."

and asked this:
"is this all original or does it have anything reproduction whatsoever? and does it have any scratches or any defects I should know about?"

and his response:
"SELLING FOR SOMEONE ELSE AND WHO KNOWS WE DON'T"

I know that's not true... they've sold (and had problems with) several of them over the last few years.

This fuck takes broken and damaged aliens, repairs them, and then sells them as brand new original. Not just the alien but *everything* Bullshit!

the back history:
http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=oldwell45&Dirn=Received+by

This line is an old one too:
"MUST SEND EBAY ACKNOWLEDGMENT FORM WITH YOUR EXACT MAILING ADDRESS IN LEGIBLE FORM."

This was a 2002 era ebay trick, taking advantage of a loophole for Sellers that allowed a seller to not send an item and get away with it. The clause was closed in a month, but some assholes didnt get the memo.

There's a one difference from selling an honest restoration of a figure (i've bought these type of things before without issues) and selling a restoration as an original. One you're an honest man. The other you're a fucking cheapskate deadbeat.

So don't buy shit from this fucking scumbag jackass.
