Anyone used to watch this 70's TV show?
It was about Aztecs creeping about inside pyramids and secret passages.
Starred Patrick Troughton and Diane Keen.
Used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.
Bought it on DVD and it's still fantastic!
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SECRET PASSAGES!
Wink

Yes it doesn't feel like a kids TV show.
Very dark and disturbing.
Patrick Troughton is EVIL.
Diane Keen is STUNNING!
I was expecting it to be cheesy and have cardboard sets but it still works.
If anyone knows about any other TV shows like this let me know.
Seem to remember an Egyptian one a bit like it?
Pre PC TV rocks!

I remember The feathered Serpent as being excellent. Pat Troughton is always superb, but it was an unusual concept too and very dark, as you say. Isn't there a sybil character with a horrible mummified woman doll thing that she consults?

I don't remember an Egyptian one, but I remember Children of the Stones and The Changes as both being interesting. Some of The Tomorrow People storylines were pretty good, too.

British telly dramas back then were much grittier, and full of death and hardship rather than the more hollywood influenced stuff we get today.

Yes there is a "witch" with a creepy mummy.
CHILDREN OF THE STONES was scary too.
What's THE CHANGES?
TV ROCKED IN THE 70'S AND WE ONLY HAD 3 CHANNELS!

The Changes is about mankind suddenly going crazy and smashing all the machines. Society breaks down and a couple of kids have adventures and
end up in a cave where there is a huge stallactite that is Merlin, causing it all. It's a fairly dim memory and it might be pretty shite if I saw it now, but the ideas were fairly out there.

BAZ I am neither a hippy or gay.
Plus lentil soup sucks.
OBSCURE 70's TV ROCKS.
Anyone remember an old TV show about a jockey who gets a new metal hand?
He gets a horse hoof on his hand and they give him a super gripping hand lol.

The 70's Kid's shows WERE awesome!!
Obvious stuff like Tomorrow People of course, but

I did like Timeslip.
