Not sure what to make of these new things...
Is Action Man Mutating out of control?
Looks like the protective dome is letting
too many harmful gamma rays in...

I hate what they've done to ACTION MAN.
They look crap and cheap.

I saw one of the Atom series in France, and I wish now I'd bought it. It was a green reptile bloke with ginger hair and a rubber face that changed expression when you pushed a button, and looked all evil and angry. I think he squirts water too. I haven't seen him since.
I also wish I'd bought the set with the rubbery Prof. Gangrene in the cylinder. He's not really even an action figure, but you can stick your hand in the back and animate him.

Looks like Constipation Man with working prolapsed colon, gritted teeth and bursting blood vessels.

I agree this line of Action Man is crap.

Good lord! Shocked Just saw the ACTUAL Muscle Flex figure.

Makes our Roid Raged friend above look like a weakling by comparison.

This figure is actually quite interesting. The head, neck and arms are rubber coated with an armature inside. Buttons on his back make them move in a lifelike fashion. This one was with the reptile bloke when I saw him in France. The reptile has a similar rubber coating on his face only, and his flexible face expression change thing is really quite impressive.

I've seen this Flex Flesh guy since, going for a song at the local Toys' Arse, and there are still a couple at my nearest local toyshop at 15. I've almost been tempted because the rubber gimmick is good, but he is pretty grotesque, not that that would usually stop me. He is so big and I probably wouldn't give him space on display.

I wish I'd bought the reptilian one, though. Got any pix of him, Guy? I looked on the net and couldn't even find a picture, let alone one for sale.

I agree that the regular new Action Man figures are pretty crap. It's when they depart from the basic designs that they get interesting, especially bad guys.

Yeah some of the ACTION MAN bad guys are cool.
What's this reptile figure?
Didn't they bring out talking or singing dolls a few years ago?
They had moving mouths or something?
Why can't they do something like that for boys toys?

Here are a few interesting pix, Looks like the one guy is mutating into a Vespa?
So far no luck on pix of reptile boy...
I remember they tried the talking mouth feature with GI JOE, but it didn't go over very well.

Hmm, Vepsa man is an interesting idea, but he wouldn't get me to part with my money.

It's a shame I didn't get the reptile guy or I could post pix myself. He seemed to be the same series as Flex Flesh, but I reckon he sold out quick because he is so cool.

I never saw the Action Man moving mouth feature.

Here's the blighter:

He's called Venom Attack Tilian. He doesn't look like much from the pics but the face thing is cool, believe me.
