Is it a Morlock? Is it Mollie Sugden? No! Itís Throbbing Gristle live at Heaven Under the Arches, Sunday 21st June 2009.

Seeing this band live was something of an ambition fulfilled for me. Split in 1981, long before I even discovered them, they have recently performed a few reunion gigs.

Was it a hideous, ear mangling noise? Yes, but not as much so as Whitehouse.

I only post this here, as I know one or two Innarders are initiates of this extraordinary sound.

Genesis P. isnít the man he used to be. Iíd love to be rid of my moobs, but I think his are implants, for chrissakes.

This lady was keen for her bunnies to enjoy it too.

Oops!

Cool! If I had time to pursue musical noise I'd consider getting one. Many years ago an acquaintance had a Gen synthesizer, not named after Mr. Orridge, but used a lot by TG. You could weigh a key down with a heavy object and just twiddle the knobs to modulate the sound. It was great fun!

The PTV stuff never did it for me, like he was trying to go commercial. Having said that, I only scratched the surface of their recordings. TG is where it's at for me, proper un-commercial un-music.

Lucky you! Smile
Were Cosey & Chris Carter there as well,
or Just Gen?

Wot a day
Wot a dull day
Wot an awful day
Wot a terrible day
All day
All day all day
Wot a day

Had to be said.
I'm paraphrasing of course... Wink

Gotta keep those panties someplace.

Very PERSUASIVE... Wink

I love how there are so many TG fans here.
What is it about Cyborg, Tattoos, Tikis, Industrial stuff.
It all somehow blends together in some weird twisted way.

They were all there, see above. The other three are a little camera shy, though. Cosey kept her head bowed and Chris was hidden behind Gen until I moved forward through the crowd.

My favourite TG lyric of all time has to be,

"All I want you to do is go out and kill."

Well Cosey certainly did... (not sure about the others, but I wouldn't put it past Gen)

Didn't Cosey turn tricks to keep the band afloat during the rough patches?

Hey I reckon Baz was sober for the first of these posts and pissed when he did the second.

I heard that she worked in the porn industry and also as a prostitute before TG. I've read Gen's accounts of their early gigs, though, and I take it all with a pinch.
